This Saturday (Apr. 8) evening- 7:15 – 10 pm , there will be a large group of us carpooling down to Stewart Airport to receive about 90 WWII veterans who are on their return Honor flight home from Washington DC. They will have spent the day there honoring their compatriots and being honored for their service and dedication. Our Troop will be there to welcome them home and to show our respect as well. We will meet at the church at 7:15 PM, carpool down, be ready by 8:50 when their flight arrives and then return to the church no later than 10 PM. Scouts are asked to wear their Class A with dress pants (preferably green, but wear what you have) and neckerchief. Look sharp in Parade dress! One of our former Scout’s mother is serving as a guardian for one of the gentlemen and has requested our presence. PLEASE join us if you can. It would mean a lot to everyone.
Hope to see you there,
